06 FORD EXPLORER HEADLIGHT FLASHER/RADIO CONSOLE

Post by FMROB »

Just doing an install on a new 06 Ford explorer.

Used the new console from havis.. Very nice for remote mounting of radio Heads. A little to shallow for one piece radios that are long, such as low band or aircraft radios etc.

PROBLEM:::

Installed a whelen UHFPOS headlight flasher (works fine), however the dash display is indicating error codes "check headlights, check highbeams" most likely because the comupter doesn't see them.

Is there a work around for this, it is annoying seeing this on the info display on the dash.. Thanks, Rob

P.S. The 06 explorer is a piece of garbage, all plastic, even the hood. i would not recommend buying one of these, just an FYI..

Yeah, with the headlight flasher we have found that you need to use a UHF2150A - it should solve your diagnostic problems.
