Pro Series Radio programming

Mt service has recently got HT1250's and CDM1250's to upgrade to the 500 MHz band. I am releatively new to radio stuff and have never used this software before, so I have some simple questions.

For the HT1250's

1- What do I do to program a channel to act as a pager on Alert? I can get the radio to recognize the QC II, but I can not get it to stay muted untill the it recieves the QC II. Also Can I get it to Auto Reset like the HT600/P200 and/or have the Alert Tone stop in it's own without reseting it?

2- In the CPS the Pasword section is grayed out. I was hoping to put a CPS password on the radio. I don't know if it matters but it has only a limited key pad.

I also have a few questions for the CDM1250. I have not even tried to program then yet so these are really dumb.

1- Our CDM only has 64 channels. Can it be programed with 5 zones as long as I do not have more then 64 channels. In other words is it capable of dynamic zoning?

2- After my install of the radio, the external speaker does not seem do be working. Did I wire it wrong or does it have to be enabled in the CPS?

3- Also I placed an ignition sense line. I am assuming that this needs to be enabled in the CPS as well?

to get a channel to act as a pager you need to set the recieve signaling to QCII. and all you have to do is check the auto reset box. the 1250's don't offer cps lock. you can put 5 zones in either 1250 radio, the ht can't have more than 16channels in it and the cdm can't have more than 64 total. the speaker should be working if you used the right pins, but it won't turn off the internal speaker, yo have to unplug the internal one. the ignition sense has to be enabled in the cps.
