Accessing XTS5000R service menu

Post by nickgb »

All,

Hello, I am trying to identify my radio's version of firmware/DSP. I tried pressing the ".." (home key?) 5 times at startup (and I tried doing that with every other button) with no luck. The model number is H18QDF9PW6AN.

Thanks for any input!

What radios do you own?: Radar Range

Are you doing that while the radio is booting? If so wiat for it to boot and get to it's normal operating state. Once that happens (takes 2 seconds) then push that second button 5 times. It should then jump into service mode.

Thanks Jaymz, I was trying to do it while it was booting. I could've swore I read that you had to do it while it was booting. I tried after letting it sit a few seconds and all is well. Can't believe I didn't try that before, thanks! By the way, I don't have any CPS.
