SABER SI

WHAT IS A SABER SI AND WHAT DOES THE SI STAND FOR. HELP PLEASE,SABER IS 800MHZ

The Saber SI was developement radio for 800 MHz only that basically had Jedi parts in it. It was in a case that was the same size as an Astro Saber, but it only did analog. It used special RSS, but I think you could use MTSX Lab to program it.

Best bet is to stay away from them as I've heard they were quite flaky.

I have no idea what the SI means.

Saber RSS will not program this radio.

The Saber SI catalog sheets show that the Saber SI RSS was originally RVN4111

Saber SI has its own RSS to program it, it looks just like a as3 but it is a little shorter, No parts are available for this unit and was only in production for 2 years and for a small handfull of agencies, oh and one last thing you DO NOT want to use lab to program it. PM me and I can give you the correct RSS part number.....

Correct. It worked conventional and Type II systems. LAFD and a few others had it. It was an interm product until the Astro Sabers and the MTS2000? was released.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
