Charging/Batteries Minitor IV and HT1250

Does leaving the pager in the charger 24/7 hurt the batteries by being constantly charged??
What about for the standard ht1250 charger??
Can you use a higher MAH rating for the batteries in the pager or will the charger not charge them properly??

Also a question for the Min IV pager.
Does a light stay on the pager in alert mode until you reset the pager in case you didnt hear the page (shower.. left it for a few minutes etc)?
