I have a non astro siren unit connected to a spectra A9 radio via the remote head (Normal hook up). Everything works great except once in a while for what ever reason the siren button will not activate any of the siren tones, ext radio, or PA. Once the power to the remote head is shut off then turned back on the siren function instantly works again. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, on your siren problem, take every precaution on making sure that your Ground is secure, as well as your A-Plus, and your ignition voltage does not fluctuate or drop ;i.e. turning lightbar on or any other emergency lights will cause the voltage to suddenly "drop" and cause the micro to lock up. The best way to get a good ground, especially on Ford Crown Vic's, all years, is to get an 8 gauge ground straight from the battery negative and run it all the way back to your "Radio/Siren Borad in the trunk. As former Law enforcement radio tech I have done this and have had great results with eliminating the voltage drop syndrome.
Let me know how ya do.
