I want to use a GM300 to decode two-tone paging in a station alerting setting. I have it all set up. My problem is remote reseting. A PTT will reset the beeping, however it leaves the radio in monitor. Is their any way to reset the monitor from a remote location? If not on a gm300 how about a CDM model? Thanks John

The CDMs will do what you want by changing the "Auto Reset Timer Type" field in the QCII signaling system setup to the configuration that you want (Manual / Timer w/ Carrier Override, Timer w/o Carrier Override).

You can also reset the CDMs manually with a momentary closure of the Monitor switch or pin.

Use a countdown timer that begins its countdown when pin 4 is triggered upon a call. Set the timer's duration to keep monitor open as long as you like. At the end of countdown, the timer will momentarily close its contacts. One contact goes to pin 7, the other goes to whatever pin you want to use that when grounded, will reset the radio. Grainger has many flavors of timers that will work.

I like the 2006 reply to a 2001 post. I guess it might take awhile but every question gets answered?

Yep. Works great.
You can use an Altronics or ELK timer, also.
