Was there a Maxstar special or something?
It has a Maxtrac trunking Full-featured front panel, a thicker case on the bottom with an extra antenna connector on the back...

Hi!

I bought the same maxtrac/maxstar radio.
It has a maxtrac logic board and rf board.
Eeprom with GPS firmware - trunking radio
The logic board is modifided for GPS connector
There is a Motorola oncore gps board.
I cannot read the radio using maxtrac trunking rss and maxtrac lab rss. UNSUPPORTED MODEL.

Any suggestions ?
