ok here is what i got....went to a flea market and found a ht1250 and i got it for a good price..BUT here is the problem
i guess you would say it is a "PARTS BUILT RADIO" ?

(1) it had NO S/N plate
(2) when i got it home i read the radio and it was 0123456789 model # of H25KDH9AA6
(3) NOW the display is NOT working (after 2 weeks)

i really want to get the display working again...is there anyone who knows how to fix it or have any idea what the problem may be ? i can pay what ever it takes to fix and ship both ways ...PLEASE let me know ..i dont have the $$$ to buy a new radio..please let me know a.s.a.p

when you turn it on does it make the strtup beeps? does it transmit and recieve? i'd start by re seating the flex for the front housing.

not without having it in front of me to take apart. looks like you may need to get it into the shop.

can't really say without being able to test the radio first hand. sounds like it could be a bad display but there's really no way for us to know for sure

I had an HT1250LS+ on the bench yesterday that was left out in the rain and it had the exact same symptoms. Changing the LCD display fixed the problem and I changed the passport board for good measure since it was showing corrosion around the flex connectors.

Radio works perfect now except the display still shows time and channel even though the radio is turned off. Will probably end up selling the customer a new radio and keep that one around for testing.
