Radio MTX-800S. Can be change from type I to II?

Radio MTX-800S. Can be change from type I to II?

I will like to know if I can change the MTX-800S from been type I to Type II

The MTX800/S is a type I only and is hard coded that way, you can't change it via RSS, and even if you could, the MTX800/S is a single system radio and certainly not capable of today's trunked systems.

It's 'big' brother, the MTX810 is a type II capable radio, and is also capable of T/A as well, but both models are wholly unsuitable for use these days as many systems are being either shut down, sold off, or upgraded to Smartnet/Smartzone.

Both radio models have almost ZERO resale value and NOT worth investing time and resources to, sorry to say.

They DO make a nice bookend though *wink*
