MCS 2000

Post by police911 »

Hi there
I just got a MCS2000 and I would like to use it as a scanner only. Is there a power cord to plug it in a standard home plug. If yes were could I found one.

Thank you all

you have to use some kind of power supply, you can't just plug it into the wall. something that puts out 12 volts at 2 amps would work fine for recieve only.

If this is a high-power (110W) VHF, or a mid-power (40W) UHF, with a Type III control head, I would happily trade you one of my scanners for it. ;-)

Model 1, 2, or 3? If it's a Model 1, I'll cheerfully trade you for a slightly-used Bearcat BC780. It'll do Type II trunking, including control channel-only, on 900 all day long. :)
