Hand Mic Mod

Post by ott_sndtek »

Hey guys, thanks again for all the help with my mobile questions .. now here's another one..

I have a handmic off a HT1000 (NMN6193A) and it's had it's radio connecter loped off and I"d like to convert it for use with a radius M100 dashmount. can this be done easily? can anybody provide me with a color to pin ffhr the RJ45? and is there any way to make the speaker on the handmic active at the same time? if there is, I might mod it furthur to make a switch to toggle speakers..

once again, any help is greatly appreciated..

Squeeze it in a vise wrapped in a soft towel.
No guarantee that it will go back together though.

The pinout MAY be on http://www.batlabs.com under
"Model Specific Information." Take a look there.

The mic element in the Jedi speaker mic is NOT compatible with the Mobile radios. The DC voltage is different and the audio signal requirements for the mobile radios is much higher than the Jedi mic can put out.. 160mv audio VS 5mv for the Jedi.

You would have to have an external Mic audio amplifier like the ones we use for cell phone headsets connected to mobile radios.
