Programming a MT2000 450-512mhz

Can this radio be programmed down to the 70cm ham band? Also could a 400-470mhz band split radio be programmed up to 512mhz or at least 492.

Yes it can quite easily. Just type in the frequencies you want and
load to radio. I have a 48 ch top display mt2000 that I use for
ham, business, gmrs, etc with no problem. Phrawg

I agree with Phrawg on part A. Part B looks like a bit of a stretch.
10 MHz out of band performance is fine, beyond this hit and miss
on the few I have. My 403-470 JT1000 goes out of lock at 482.
