Chargers for radios...

Post by K0AZV »

Not having really messed with a lot of Motorola equipment until recently I'm going to ask the following question...

Can the charger unit for charging the batteries on an MT1000 work with the batteries that go on a Saber II?

I guess if the answer is no then I am going to have start looking for a charger unit for the Saber II I just purchased.

Saber charger is different than the Genesis series.. I know there was an adapter to go from the old MX charger to the Saber series, i have seen and owned those, but none that i know of to go from Genesis to Saber.

Talked to a couple of people now that have indicated that the chargers are differant for the two. I've got a couple of things lined up on getting a charger for the radio. Now I just need to think about getting the converta con units for both the MT1000 and the Saber. Better start working some overtime or cashing in some aluminum cans to pay for those :)
