Maratrac Squelch Adjustment

Post by Dougdeutsch »

Hi All,

How does one adjust the squelch setting on a Maratrac radio? I am aware of how to do it on an A9 control head but the control head on this Maratrac does not have a squelch button.

Is it strickly an RSS adjustment or can it be done at the control head?

Thanks in advance,

Doug

Actually, Doug, it is done inside the radio. Don't quote me on this, as I'm going entirely from memory, but I think I remember the approximate location of the pot. With the radio laying face-up, and the top cover removed, and the cable end facing you, the squelch pot should be on the right-hand side, on the end closest to you. I don't remember the number off hand. Should be a trimmer pot with a blue body and white 'knob'.

Accually the Maratrac's SQUELCH pot is R1132 and is located on the 'L' shaped Audio P A board in the front left side of the radio. It is under the antenna relay/RF connector.

To be a bit more exact if you look for a kind of shield plate just to left of center looking at the radio as Will described. Look at the board just under the shield plate. It is there where you have to angle the adjusting tool just slightly from straight up and down to reach it. You are there. Thats the squelch pot. Phrawg
