MCS2000 buttons light

I have an MCS2000 model 3 - when i turn it off the light in the buttons stay on - i have tryed with another control head that i have - id turned the light in the buttons off - my question is if anyone knows why this control head let the light in the buttons stay on - can it have had an modification made to do that?

What's the part number on the control head? I encountered one that behaved that way, and it appears as if it was a specialty thing.

I believe it is an rear head - but the volume knob does work - the light in the buttons just dont turn off when the radio is turned off?

Hi again - sorry for the late answer - I now have the control head in front of me - on the label it says:
JREO 1296
SDLN4193B
31/1999

On one of the components there is an yellow label that says:
F.T
D.G

Does anyone have an idea if this can be modified so that the light in the buttons will turn off together with the radio?
