Hi,
i´ve a few Saber I with the 8d core. There is always a delay in the squelch when the radio rx. I also have a short delay when I press the PTT. Looks like a MDC 1200 problem. I don´t need the MDC. How can I turn that off?

MDC shut off...
You turn off the MDC by going to the features and options
menu. MDC selection is at the bottom of the list in the
Saber RSS and you use the F2 key for select/deselect.
For more info hit the F1 key when the cursor is next to the
feature you want to read about on the menu.

The delay from RX to TX is adjusted in the service menu, you can eliminate that delay from there only.
You have three choices to select from, F3, F4, F5 for all service related settings.
Just follow what Tom tells you on how to disable MDC, he's correct
P.S...While you are in the service area, change the low battery level from the default 9E, your icon will no longer blink with half the battery life left.
Drop it all the way down <-------, when the LED stops lighting, you have a dead battery, what could be simpler than that?
Thedefault battery level is GARBAGE and should never have been set that high to begin with, it causes everyone to assume the battery is dead, and thus, you recharge the battery before it actually needs charging.....giving Circle-M more money on new batteries they caused you to burn up...Hmmm, conspiracy theory possibly *laughing*?
