Saber Alignment Procedure

Post by chammerbeck »

Does anyone have a FAQ or procedure outlining the alignment procedure for the Saber series? I'm unable to order a service manual. I've found various theory of operation and user manuals on the net in PDF form but none state anything about this.

Thanks,
Chris

What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT

Saber tuning, etc.

You might find what you need by searching the archives of
this Board. A long time ago one of our late members made a
posting of Saber tuneup procedures that might still be
available. It was quite extensive and gave the mid-range
numbers to look for on the service screens to approximate
the "correct" settings without benefit of a service monitor.

We just noted the passing of this gentleman, whose name
was Monty, and you can look up his posts under that name.
There are over 1,700 posts of his available, but many, many
of them had to do with Sabers.

Perfect! I did a search for Mony and Saber and quite a few good articles came up. Printed for my files. Thanks again!
