UCM Question

Post by High_order1 »

Can this module be programmed for voice inversion encryption?

If not, besides Ramsey, is there another source for these boards? I would want something with a very very small form factor.

Thanks!

What radios do you own?: Kenwood, Yaesu, ICOM, Motorola

The /\/\ UCM was designed and developed for the highest level of Voice Security using digital algorithims so I would not think this module would be capable of simple Speech Inversion.

Here's an OEM website for Speech Inversion Modules:

Reason I ask is there is a nearby Kenwood system that implements this scheme, and there are several users who would like to use motorola equipment but still be secure capable.

I couldn't think of any moto product using VI except one of the talkabout series, but I figured if anyone would know a simple solution, one of you would.

Thanks again!

Transcrypt probably still makes inversion scramblers that should retrofit many older and even later model radios, including portables.

Once you wander into the higher level security of digital encryption, the prices go up exponentially.

Check here to see what they have: http://www.transcrypt.com
