cps Version R05.04 password removal

I would like help i have a em400 that has a CPS password lock it uses the r05.04 to read and write would anyone let me know the way on how to dissable the CPS asking for password to be able to reprogram the radio.

Easiest way is to find the last owner of the radio and ask him/her for the password. Because you don't have a codeplug to hex edit and find the password, one option that comes to mind is SoftIce......

What is SoftIce, and will it work for a CM200 as well? I'm still trying on the one I have here.
