Genesis gang charger - differences?

Trying to keep one good 6-slot charger going for the MT1000, HT600 series radios.

One donor unit has a red 1988 fiberglass board, while another one has a green 1995 fiberglass board. Basing dates on chip date codes.

Was there any significant difference among builds? Same power supply in both, and I've taken the suggestion to get rid of the power connector to instead solder the power leads directly to the board.

Thanks any historical guidance.
