MT1000 PROBLEM

Post by mikeyc0120 »

ok guys, im not that new at this but im stumped. i have an mt1000 model H41GCU7160AN. 6ch lowband. not sure if its an original or converted, but i am having some problems. 1) it wont scan... everything is programed correctly, added and even user scan enabled. wont scan and cant program. 2) the green LED flashes when ch busy, not red and if i goto move the toggle switch to monitor nothing comes up. the side squelch button doesnt work either. ive adjusted the values of the squelch and that doesnt do much more than getting more recieved. the pri beep doesnt happen either.

so im assuming something needs to be edited with hex? any input? thanks. -mike

And switching the toggle to "monitor" only sets the receiver to CSQ, it does not unmute the audio. The monitor button on the side SHOULD unmute when pressed and if held a few seconds the audio should remain unmuted.

Keep in mind also the green busy LED flashes only if that channel in the MT1000 is set to PL or DPL receive. On a programmed CSQ channel the busy light will not flash.

thanks for the replies, i know all about that. i used to have a 16ch vhf mt1000 and it blinked red during rx and also tx when the battery was low. it only blinked green during rx on a ch that was muted for QCII signalling. the squelch button doesnt do anything for a short or long press. so theres something more in depth i need to do. any other ideas??
