XTS charger and Ni-MH & Li-Ion ?

Post by oh2lak »

Hi all.

I'm curious, can I charge XTS Li-Ion batteries with my current charger for XTS, which charges Ni-MH batteries fine.

Model ID found from the charger is AAI6740, it's a single unit charger.

Ni-MH battery which charges ok is RNN4006AR, Li-Ion which I haven't dared to try is NTN8610B

..

No it will not - I have asked the same question - now I have read many old treads - you need an NTN1668 - or WPLN4111 - or WPLN4112 - or an NTN8831A. I have the same charger as you (NTN7209) for both MTS2000 and XTS5000 - it works fine for the MTS2000 - but not for the XTS5000 (with RNN4006 battery).
Thanks
Kenneth
