I have a Motorola HNN9033B Impres battery that has been charged in a WPLN4114 single unit charger with firmware 3.0. This battery was new and charged ok. I recently had the chargers firmware upgraded to version 3.4 and now this battery wont charge in the charger. When I insert the battery into the charger the red led comes on and stays on for about two to three hours and then turns green. However, when I try to use the battery on my Astro Saber within 5 min the low battery chirp will start chirping. However, when I insert the battery into a NTN8831A tri-chemical charger the battery charges without any problems and will last up to 14 hours. So my question is, did the old firmware of 3.0 corrupt this battery? It should be noted that the Impres charger will charge the other Saber Impres battery and my XTS batteries without any problems.
thanks
Dan..
