I've had a TDN8120A tone remote handset for a few years and have never done a thing with it. It has intercom, monitor, ptt and channel 1/2 buttons in it.
Today, the mailman brought me an L1548A line-to-radio adapter.
I used the cable it came with and hooked it up to my CDM1250 mobile radio and then connected the handset up to it.
Needless to say it works ok..... I can get the radio to go into monitor, I can PTT, and can RX... BUT that's where the non-issues end.
The handset is constantly receiving static noise, open squelch and doesn't close. It's gotta be the discriminator audio.. but shouldn't it be squelched?
Also, I can't get it to change channels either.
Now... the "SWA" dip-switches on the back are all set alike, I think "off".
Is anyone familiar enough with, or have the manual for the Tone remote adaptor? I'd like to get this thingy working after all this time especially now that I have compatable (for the most part) parts (in a previous attempt, I accidentally purchased a DC remote adaptor).

Check in the CDM accessory configuration screen, discriminator audio should be set for 'filtered', not 'flat'. I don't have the software in front of me, so my wording may not be exact, but you get the drift.
