Min 3 Factory Repair

Post by n3obl »

Got a Min 3 that had 5 year service on it. It expires in March 07. If i send it in for repair. Would I more than likely get a IV back.

I wouldn't think so because depot support for the Min III was extended through May 31, 2007.

unless you get someone else's pager by accident, this will not happen

In which case, you'll probably get a Minitor I with a Minitor III sticker stuck to the front :D

There were reports of this happening about 2-3 years ago. I don't think this is the case today. Flat rate for the pagers also went up last I checked. You used to be able to send them to the factory for $32 a pop, and they would come back tuned, aligned, tested, new nylon case and a set of batteries.

We sent a bunch of Director IISV's in a couple years ago before support ended on them (I think it's ended at least) and was able to get most of them retuned, casesed, tagged, and aligned.
