Professional help needed deploying an R100 repeater

Post by wbickle »

Our radio club was recently given a Motorola R100 UHF repeater, which was previously deployed in some sort of commercial application .

We're in the midst of (for us) a number of significant EMCOMM enhancement projects, and none of the club members is particularly anxious to take on the service and conversion of this repeater for club use. We're looking for a shop which could check it out and set it up for us.

Any suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.

Surely a reasonable question  . Sorry.

Location is the Eastern Shore of Maryland. A UPS store is handy, but that's about it...

Oh its just my belief that the forum users should post there location on there profile. (just my 2 cents)
for reasons like you see a post "need help with a radio" and just by chance,
the person lives in the same town, or 10-20miles away. I had a member who I met on this forum, he lived in the same town, programmed his radio, he's with Prescott FD. I know there are members in your area!
maybe someone else will reply thats near you. I have 9 repeaters I'm trying to keep up n running. and still see my family.... later Bill....JR

I repair and upgrade the R100 repeaters here in So. California.

If the R100 works on the frequency that is already in it then all I need is the Exciter and Receiver modules. That should save a lot in shipping costs.
