HT1250 Noise While In Charger

Post by svfd1243 »

Has anyone experienced this? Both my 1250 and 1250LS does this. It will be in the charger and apparently after it is done charging there is this sound that comes from the radio every few mins. It almost sounds like a squelch or a sick cat. Can anyone tell me what that is from and how to correct it.

Thanks

What is the age/firmware version of the units.

There was a SRN to do with noise in the charger about 6-7 years ago.

this has been discussed on here several times, the radio should not be turned on while it's in the charger. but newer firmware did fix that problem. they should probablly be upgraded with the contaminant kit too.

I appologize, Im not a frequent regular to this area of the board and I was not aware that this topic has been discussed prior till now. I might be able to upgrade the firmware on them but what exactly is a contaminant kit?

the contaminant kit upgrades the battery terminal section and gasket if you have ever had any problems with the radio randomly turning off. yours probablly has orange gaskets, the new ones are blue.
