Commercial Radio Sites?

Group,

Anyone know of any web sites/ message boards out there that deal with Commerical Radio in the aspect of say like setups and installations in commercial buildings, 400 to 1000ft radio towers, heliax wiring, Celwave, AS, and DB product 22ft fiberglass Commerical grade Base Antennas, , Yagi and Para Corner Reflector Antennas, Duplexers, Bandpass filters, repeaters, and etc etc etc?

Havent found anything like this yet, and wanted to ask if anyone knows of such as website...

Below is a very active yahoo group that is specific to wireless.
I'm sure any questions you have would be answered fully, but
they do touch on a lot of other topics such as NEXTEL re-banding, etc. and it is a very informative group.

I am not trying to promote a commercial site but I enjoy going to usedtowers.com to view the items they have for sale. It is amazing to see all the cool tower stuff they have available. I have been planning on putting up my own tower for quite some time. I have a Rohn SSV 12N through 6N which I am looking to add pieces on to. I have located a used building and other accessories. This site has given me some great ideas to look for components. I have been looking for similar sites to get ideas about tower site construction. Let me know if you find any good ones.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this and share your information, but I hope you didnt misunderstand the reasoning behind my post as I am in no way looking to errect a tower or buy a building or etc as you seem to have indicated by your reply.

Please dont read further into my post than what is there. I am just looking for a website discussion board that covers the topics I have given in my examples to learn more about this stuff, Im just wanting to learn not actually 'do', at least for now anyway, lol, nothing more nothing less.

Im kinda thinking that there really isnt a site out there like that yet...

The site and it's yahoo based email list are populated by tower riggers and the like.

And one other resource to look into if you so desire is N.A.T.E

National Association of Tower Erectors.

I know it's not a tower site info address, but the readers are involved and post contact numbers for their operations...worth a look.

No problem, in reading your post you had some general inquires about "Commercial Radio" where you did not say AM of FM broadcast, Two way business repeaters, Cellular installations etc. Then you asked about specific components like towers, heliax, duplexers, band pass filters, yagis, corner reflectors. As I have progressed in the RF world I have gotten some of my best information from commercial sites. Tower information is harder to come by. The site I referenced gave me and idea of the terms and type of installations. Some of the stuff even has drawings which provide some great information. The other stuff like repeaters and antennas, manufacturers usually have some great spec sheets with radiation patterns and such. Tessco is a great site that has a lot of specs on site equipment from cable, antennae, combiners. TXRX and RF industries are a couple of others. As far as repeater information the individual manufacturers will have all the info you need. Motorola has some great online information, as does Kenwood and Vertex. I am sure there is more but this is where I primarily get my information. Until just recently I was just "looking" for information like you are. Now I am getting ready to do my own installation.
