Converting Program Talkgroup Question?????

Post by flashradio »

I have a problem when I convert the Decimal number Off the trunktracker and convert to Maxtrac or even Hex format. Some Talk groups work with No Problem others dont seem to work, I Hear Nothing? for example I have tracker id of 55568 convert to Maxtrac 803473 or Hex D91 (for a MTX) but Cant hear anything.

Would anyone have any idea why Certain talk groups Work and Others DON'T????????

Thanks in Advance

I cannot answer your first question, as your conversions appear to be correct.

"Odd" and "even" probably relates to a quirk of the SmartNet II feature set, which, if implemented with priority scanning, requires that only hexadecimal "even" TG IDs be used: that is, those ending with 1, 3, 4, 7, 9, B, D, or F.
