Amp Draw Needed M1225

Post by frodo »

Can some one supply me with the amp draw for a 4 channel M1225 while transmitting. I noticed broduct brochures for other models include it, however it doesn't appear to be on this one.

Thanks

As a rough rule of thumb, take nominal transmitter output, double it, divide by 10, and round up to the nearest even number, and that is the nominal current draw when running on nominal 12VDC. However, you should then add something when sizing a power supply for that unit, to avoid having voltage drop when the radio keys up.

We run mid-power radios (primarily Spectras, CDMs and MCS2000s) on 20 Amp power supplies without issue.
