It is not permissible to ask for or offer Motorola programming software in these forums.

KE7DZZ, I believe he is looking for a codeplug, which i would think CP means. i had to read the post a few times at first too, but i learned that CP probably means codeplug.

Yes, "CP" in common usage on the Batboard means "Codeplug" NOT RSS. If one were looking for RSS the radio version (B3, B5, B7) or model (8000, 9000 or MTS) would not be of significance, but in a Codeplug, it is VERY important. Typically, if one were looking for RSS they say "RSS" or "Radio Service Software" or more commonly "programming software".

BUT I can see the confusion by using the abbreviation "CP", I have been here 6 years and it never fails that at least once a week someone comes on looking for RSS, calling it a variety of things, which is ONLY avaliable through Motorola and illegal to use unless one legitimately bought the license through Moto.

Thank you all for your responses. A helpful individual sent me the B3 CODEPLUG and I got the radio running.

My apologies, I am relatively new here as well as fairly new to Motorola gear. I read CP and was thinking CPS.

No problem, my bad for using "CP" as an abbreviation. I am so used to using the term "RSS" to refer to programming software that I did not even think how easily "CP" could be confused with "CPS".
