Ritron RPM-450

Post by fire342 »

I have a Ritron RPM-450 mobile radio and programming software. I'm looking for information on construction of the data cable that goes between to mic plug and the computer for programming the radio. I also need the mic pinouts if someone has it.

I've also heard that a rib cable that can be made up to work with the Motorola rib, is that true.... if so I will need information on that too.
Any help would be great.

Thanks

Its been a long time -but here's what I remember: For front panel programming: Remove the volume control knob and snap the front panel off. In the lower right corner is a socket with a small component that looks like a capacitor. If this part is red it can be used for programming. Green ones can only program limited functions. Move it to the unused part of the socket and programming can be done from mic.
Pm if you need further - I may still have the book.

Thanks Ken, yes it has the green jumper. I'll play with it and see what comes up.
