anyone in MD/DC area....
who can program my VHF A-9 spectras for me?
Re: anyone in MD/DC area....
It is easy to program the Spectra radios. You will need
a RIB, the interface cable and the RSS.
Is this a mobile install or is the radio being used in the house?
Is the radio now working or is this a newly aquired unit?
What channels are you trying to get the radio to work
on?
I live in Alexandria, but am on a trip out of town
right now till begining of January.

Jim-
I have a garage full of them that are intended for use with ARES/RACES/SKYWARN and were donated to the local ham club by the local PD. I want to get two of them programed as prototypes to show off to the ARES/ham club folks. One is going in my truck, the other I plan on rigging into a pelican case or something.
For the most part, I plan on programming them on 2m ham and RX only public safety. The local sheriff's office has authorized me to program them to TX/RX on their old VHF system which they still use for mutual aid. The radios still have those channels now.
