Maxtrac Power Cord??

Post by kb0nly »

Anyone know an online source for cheap Maxtrac/Radius power cables? I used to buy them at $9 a pop from Waltel.com before he went out of business.

Any sources other than eBay, MOL or MyRadioMall??

http://www.kendoo.com/radio_data.asp?SKU=M-25

I've bought quite a few of these. They're identical to the Moto product.

Cool, thanks!

I have bought batteries from Kendoo before, didn't realize they carried them.

What awg are they? 10, 12, etc?

I bought some offbrand ones a while back that were supposed to be 10awg but looked more like 14awg when they got here.

I believe they're 12ga... not where I can look right now, unfortunately.

Ok, well 12awg would be a lot better than some of the crappy ones i got off eBay, they were oem looking but much smaller wire.

I want to say that Jeff was reselling the Kendoo product.

I think part of the seems-smaller issue was due to the fact that the moto OEM cables have a thicker insulation jacket... I remember having the same concerns when I was setting mine up. Never had a problem with any of them though.

It's very very possible he was. I will have to order one from Kendoo and compare it to the ones i have used from Waltel.

You know i miss his site, i was just thinking the other day it would have been nice to pop over there and order some antennas, cables, and mounts.

Some of us have accounts with places like Tessco. Tessco will drop-ship. I've been half-tempted to start offering a service to buy whatever you want, you pay via Paypal +4% +some profit for me time, I order the stuff and have it drop-shipped to you.

Is this something I should look into formally?

Might not be a bad idea if your prices with profit and costs covered are still within what most people normally pay, or less.

I generally buy from Tessco at 40-50% off list. If you're interested in anything, PM me.
