APCO-25 Common Air Interface Exclusive - 3 Digit Sys ID's ?

Post by Leadenwah »

The APCO-25 Common Air Interface seem to have 3 digit System ID's
Most of the Analog TRS had 4 digit System ID's.
Is there a leading or following Zero or are all of this type 3 Digit SysID's?

Its not a system ID, its a network ID. like a DCS or CTCSS tone.

Yes, it is 3 hex digits.

A Type II TRS that happens to also carry digital traffic still also has a 4-digit system ID - the network ID only pertains to digital traffic though.

I suppose it's no coincidence that ASTRO-25 TRS's (ie 9600 control channels) also have a 3 digit system ID?
