Lowband Radio Antenna?

Have a 60watt mobile radius, what type of antenna do i need to use on this? im just trying to test them out.

Well, that depends on how you're trying to test them - what kind of enviroment? Just bench testing, base station, or mobile?

i use a maxrad base loaded quarter wave on the roof with my X9000 lowband, it seems to work great. it is about the same length as a 5/8 wave VHF hiband antenna. but i think for the best perfomance you might consider a buggy whip. they are big and ugly but if you are needing the best it is what youll need.
