Got a M120 40 watt uhf 2ch mobile that transmittedway of freq by 1.5 khz to start with but i removed the logic bd and cleaned the pins i saw mentioned on a maxtrac and the problem improved but still transmits about .5khz low but in a second or so comes back on freq.
What else could it be ?

The interconnect with the feedthru caps has probally gone bad. A common problem discussed here many times.

Either do a complete realignment with the RSS or forget about it. No big deal.

In my experience it's typical for the transmit freq to shift a little when they're first keyed up. I've always figured it was just a design flaw.

As for the feedthru, if the connector is marked 64-80535B01 it is bad and you need to replace it with a 2804637J01. Quick way to tell the difference, the bad ones have a rectangular mounting plate, the mounting plate in the replacements has an irregular shape.
