One more QCII HT1250 question
Ok I have searched and didn't find so I am sorry if I missed it. Is it possible to use QCII and set off the radio call for the proper channel and have it set off Minitor pagers? I have not been able to get this done. I have the proper tones and such. they open properlly on the radio but if I set the tones from my portable they will not open the pager. I hear the proper or sounds proper tone on the scanner and on the pager if it is open but it will not set off the pager. We use minitor IIs some IVs and some Vs. any help would be great.

I never check PM's so don't bother, just email me.
I won't reply to a hotmail, gmail, aol or any other generic free address, if you want me to reply use a real address.

Thanks for your offer for help HLA and sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I was waiting on confirmation that they had put in the right codes. I found out they had it all wrong when they programmed it. They had put in AB tones. What my service uses is long B tone. When I had switched to that it still didn't work so I asked for help here. I finally got a call back from the radio service that initally programmed it and found it is longB tone but only 8 second tone not 9. going to program that tonight when I get home and see if that helps.

Sending 9 seconds when the pager is looking for 8 seconds should not be a problem. Shorter might be a problem but probably anything over 5 or 6 seconds should set off the pager; you'll just have the pager's built-in alert for a shorter amount of time before it stops so you can hear the voice message.
