Astro CPS 9.0 Setting The Time

Post by nickburns186 »

Is there any other way to set the time on the XTS series when programming other than programming in the CLK button, setting the time, then removing it? I'm doing about 50 radios right now and really dont want to keep the CLK button as an option for the end users. Thanks.

I've never really paid attention (no big fleets of 5000s to maintain). However, I know the pager programming software sets the time to match the computer clock... is it the same for CPS?

I'd think you would want to leave the CLK button there anyway... the clocks on my 5000s tend to drift a minute or two per month.

If there is a CPS setting for that, I havent found it. I'm trying to keep the buttons and complexity of the radios to a minimum, hence removing the clk button. Just so long as the time is close, that'll work for me.

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

the clock is an internal function of the radio so the cps don't keep time sync with it, sorry but you are stuck with doing it by hand.
