MTR2000 puts beep on transmit audio

Post by wb4wxd »

Probably a simple question but I can't find the answer in the book. A customer's hi-Band MTR2000 has suddenly put a beep in every transmission. What does this signify and how can I get rid of it?
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if the MTR2000 is similar to the MSF5000 if it is they have an audible error code that repeats itself every ten seconds while the repeater is keyed and the number of beeps points to a certain failure.
To clear the error the problem must be resolved and the station reset.
If I'm incorrect I'm sure someone will set us both straight

Just an FYI the MSF has 10 different codes
May the Schwarz be with you.

Per manual 68P81096E20, a single beep every 10 seconds indicates AC power failure. Two beeps every 10 seconds indicates PA failure.
