Does HT-1000 have a (Talk Around Mode)
Does a HT-1000 have a button for Talk Around. Just say you have a duplex repeater system on channel 2. Is there a button to by-pass the repeator so that you can talk on the receive freq?
You can assign a talkaround position to the A-B-C switch with no problem.

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Here are the options for the A-B-C toggle and side buttons in a nutshell. They will vary slightly depending on the revision of HT1000 that you have ie, AN BN CN DN. These were taken from a DN codeplug....
The options for the A-B-C switch are used in pairs (Most of them) for each position, and some options are only able to be used with certain other options, unless you have a "certain version" of the software that will let you assign pretty much what you want to each position. This should give you the basic idea though of what you can assign.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The A-B-C switch options are as follows:
Scan prog on
Scan prog off
Scan on
Scan off
Direct
Repeat
Chan option squelch
Carrier Squelch
Tx Low Power
CSQ Tx
High Power
Low Power
Chan option Power
Tx PL Low power
Chan option Talkaround
Blank
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The options for the 3 side buttons are as follows, and this was taken from a DN revision codeplug:
RAT
Select
Single tone Encode 1
Single tone Encode 2
Scan Program Status
Blank
Monitor
Monitor/Scan program status
Light
Scan On/Off
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope this helps a little...

- What radios do you own?: XTS5000, APX2000
OK. Im wanting to be able to talk on repeators, also talk direct(TalkAround), also be able to scan and be able to select the channels to be scanned. Is it possible for the local radio shop to do this. Which buttons should be be assighned to which function. I new to the ht-1000 radios. Just trying to figure out how to have it programmed.
