cm300/pm400 low tone beep and error

Post by cduda »

Hello. I have some CM300 and PM400 mobiles. I have 2 different RIBLESS cables. I am using version R02.04. As soon as I plug in the programming cable, I get a low tone beep, sounds like an error beep. When I try to read the radio, I get 'error 512, unable to read radio, check RIB'. I have read and wrote a CM300 before with these cables and it worked. The radio I tried is an older radio which has not been rear or wrote for about 3+ years since they installed it. So I dont think it has been rear or wrote with a newer version. I have also tried to read one of these radios that have been written with the newer version and still get that low tone beep. Can anyone help me on this. I am stumped. Thanks for any help.

First step is to upgrade your CPS, the current version is R05.05
