SABER3 2 BUTTONS BELOW TX BUTTON
Hello. For years I've had a UHF System Saber 3. The 2 buttons below the TX button were programmed for scan & simplex. I just got a saber 3 & asked the seller to program the 2 same buttons to do the same thing. He said he didn't see it when he was programming. Can the 2 buttons on a Saber 3 do this like my System Saber 3 does? GARY N4KVE

Wish I could have done it for you Gary......Sorry, just simply could not be done. I wanted to make sure I did not miss anything, it had been a long time since I had programmed that radio.N4KVE wrote:Hello. For years I've had a UHF System Saber 3. So true, the two lower buttons are pretty much dead on any radio that does not have the minimum 6D or 8D master options, and the 5D core does not make allowances for programming these two buttons.
Unlike the Systems Sabers, which can and do make use of these buttons, and can also be programmed for selective use, like T/A, scan, RAT and more.
