SECURENET DIGITAC: Simple interfacing questions

Post by d119 »

Anyone have a DIGITAC manual handy that could list the following:

Pair # on punch block for Receiver #1

Pair # on punch block for Receiver #2

Pair # on punch block for Receiver #3

Pair # on punch block for line to transmitter w/ tone control

Just got a DigiTAC and a friend has my manual and I won't be able to get it for a few days, and I want to convert over from my SpectraTAC ASAP :)

Thanks!

Digitac is much more complex than SpectraTac. There are several different system applications that the Digitac can be used in. Configuration is accomplished by a combination of jumper settings, switch settings, and personality settings that you establish by connecting to the Digitac's serial port(s).

I wouldn't try to put one in service without the book, but if you think that the previous configuration of your unit is close to what you want it to do - go for it.

For analog only operation [i.e. no Securenet modems]:

Site 1 Rx J806 - 14 & 39
Site 2 Rx J806 - 24 & 49
Site 3 Rx J806 - 13 & 38

Tx J806 - 10 & 35

Thanks xmo. I work on these for a living, so I'm familiar with their programming and operation, but I don't do enough installation of them new to memorize the pairs.

It's running now on an MSF 5000 with 3 receivers.

Curious though. This unit has v1.00 Receive firmware in it. One of our clients has v1.34 receive firmware in theirs.

Is there an upgrade for the firmware EEPROMS in the DIGITAC comparator thats available?
