MPT1327, FFSK Muting

Post by ristomemo »

I am a newbie in MPT1327, and Motorolas Gp-series.
Is it possible to change any parameters in the CPC to mute the annoying FFSK sound in the end of every call.

You should be able to enable a DOS-like muting option. That mutes the data bursts. Tait radios do this by default, I would have figured Motorola would as well.

On a North American radio, listening to MPT systems in conventional mode, that data burst is muted just fine with DOS enabled so as long as that option is there in the GP680 or whatever you're using, you should be good to go.

I am using the ENVN4006M CPS, and I can’t find any settings about DOS. And anything in the help text either. I have read about the MDC systems, and the DOS function. So it is would be strange if the MPT radios don’t have the same function.
