I just got some unusual MC MICROs from UK.
There is an "MDI DATA" label next to Mot's and instead of the usual D9 Acc Conn on the rear, there is a D15 conn like the PC's VGA socket.
No display, and just two buttons: monitor & call.
The logic board is also different from the other models.
It can be read by the RSS but there is no model recognition while reading block 9.
The radio were connected to a MDT manufactured by MDI. (also, any info on these?)
I threw some channels in by editing the eeprom chip.
As far as I could go, they are VHF.25W,12.5khz,Select-5, 16 chan capable, and the channels can only be selected thru the Acc Conn.
Model #: MAU33EVA9J22AK
Anybody with a better knowledge on this radio and what RSS is needed?

There are 10 kind of people: Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Part of the mystery solved
Finaly, it is a 16 channel radio, with another 16 "phantom" channels in the codeplug.
Channels can only be steered from the acc conn.
Voice/Data capable.

after some extensive search for RSS, I was disappointed not finding anything,
and got so much upset that I wrote my own (the first MC micro RSS that runs on Win XP!)
it needs some more work on the reading routines, but I can edit the basic parameters
(frequency,PL,Select-5,TOT,etc) from a saved codeplug and programs 100%.
More to follow...

I'm not surprized; Among other things, the national distributor ,when I asked for RSS, tried to persuade me that this version does not exist!
Nice idea about the storno forum.
Although I am already registered ther, i didn't think that it could be a site of value.
