maxtrac scanning question's

Just got a new to me 16 pin 32 channel radio which won't scan.mon exit select buttons on the front my guess is some one switched front's or made a 16 pin high signeling radio from some thing else. program's fine for all 32 channels just can't make it scan any help would be great wondering if i have to re blank the board thanks jhook

you do know that the mic has to be grounded for the scan function to work and for the monitor to function, try grounding the clip to the radio

mic works because the mon light comes on when it's not connected,I don't have the option to select scan channels with the 3 lower button's on the face moniter ,exit ,select, Just trying to go through the code plug and edit scan enable from the maxtrac read me's posted. was hoping that all i needed to do was edit my other 32 channel vhf code plug and send it to the problem radio not sure what needs editing though thanks Jhook

Sounds like you know how to set up the scan list, if not check here;

Note; on your face, "exit" = the scan button.
Most radios with that face came as 6ch, NO scan.

If still no scan;
You could blank it with labmax (extended, save tuning), then initialize as a Maxtrac high signaling, maxtrac 300, 32ch with accesories and scan.
Panel 001
Then F3 program with tuning data (NOT F 8 ).
(That is assuming it was tuned properly already)

That will give you the maximum features.

OH, another thought, if someone has been hacking......

In RSS can you get to the channel scan screen?? If so, you have to add them ALL so you can then pick them from the front panel.....
(like you do for the 16ch, 5pin radios)....
