CDM 1550 LS UHF 16 ch to 128 ch

Post by 4sure »

Does anyone know a way to convert 16 conventional channels to 128? Also I am not able to program any MDC signaling assignments to a conventional personality It will allow me to create a MDC ID, but when in the personality assignment, it is grayed out. Is there a specific software level required or is that just the way it is? I am not using this radio for UHF trunking

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

you have to buy a non ls radio or an ls radio with the last digits of the model number 6an. it's cheaper to get a different radio than it is to send it to morotola and request they convert it. and the cdm1550's are 160 channels, not 128.

on ls models you can not use mdc on conventional channels unless it's a 6an model.
