In a way... yes. Are you asking if it could be done without RSS and computer?
In God we trust. Everyone else, we run through NCIC, Thinkstream, and III.

Yes the GM300 can be cloned to another GM300 using the program designed for it.
For the clone option to work the radio just read must be the same model number otherwise the program gives you an error saying model numbers do not match.
If you had a corupt code plug or had several GM300 mobiles all the same then the clone option would be useful.
In the case of a corupt GM300 code plug you could read a known good code plug then by using the clone option in the GM300 program program it back into the GM300 with the corupted code plug and corect the wrongs thus restoring the GM300 back to life.
But again for the clone option to work you must have the same model numbers to match each other for this to work.
As for a clone cable that you conect from radio to radio as found available on say the P100 portable = No im not aware of such a cable that exists to allow that type of cloning.
Must use the computer and GM300 program.

I'm still tinkering with the GM300's, I have 3. Having some problems with the PC & DOS. I have even thought about using a simplex type (voice record) repeater. I can use the 146+ side since the radios go from 146-170. I gotta keep it simple due to cost and my limited skills. I was looking at one but do not know how it should be connected to the unit..... You would thinks as a old FF and Paramedic I could programme a radio. Any help would be aprreciated.

the simplex repeater is going to get real annoying real fast, you are going to hear everything twice if you are in range of the first radio. i would think another gm300 for recieve would be cheaper and easier to find than one of those voice recorders.
